I'm trying to order an M&P40 today. I want a fullsize pistol with the mag disconnect but not the internal lock. I think the part number is 209200 but S&W's 2009 catalog doesn't list it and it doesn't appear in the 2008 catalog either that I could find. All I can find with the mag disconnect and no internal lock is 109250 which is the MA-class gun. I could live with the heavy trigger but the 10 round mags suck. Of course I can't get ahold of anyone at S&W or Bud's where I plan to order from (not surprising today). If someone could confirm the correct part number for what I'm looking for I'd really appreciate it.

My 2008 catalog shows what you want as 209000.
It says that 209200 has mag safety and internal lock, Maryland compliant.

The 2009 catalog is out? - Just went and dowloaded them.

I looked again at the 2008 catalog and did see that. The problem I have now is that a check of S&W's site shows the exact opposite: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/P...rn=15711&isFirearm=Y so I can't determine which is correct.

I have the exact one you are looking for. Worst case, I can check the product code on my case tonight.

If noone else is able to confirm and you have a chance to look at your case tonight I'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to get my order in ASAP before prices go up again.

I guess I will be no help. I forgot mine has night sights so it is a 209600.

209600 would be even better but I can't seem to find anywhere with those in stock. Hopefully I'll be able to find out what 209200 is.

The 209200 is not an MA compliant but it has the mag safety without the IL.

Exactly what I needed to know...now I can feel comfortable ordering it (or the 109250 MA-class model if I decide I want a heavy trigger). Thanks.

I believe there is a misprint in the 2008 catalog.

209000 has BOTH mag disconnect and internal lock.

209200 is WITH mag disconnect but WITHOUT internal lock.

209300 is WITHOUT BOTH the M.D. and the I.L.

Thanks for all the information. I went ahead and ordered a 209200 this evening so hopefully will get it relatively soon.
