I haven't bought a handgun since October, 1998. Until today, that is. I have about 30 of them already in the safe, most of them purchased in the early to mid '90's, some as far back as 1976. I'd think about buying a gun now and then, but I'd always talk myself out of it, convincing myself that I couldn't justify it.

But, with my birthday tomorrow, I finally figured, "What the heck am I saving my money for? To pay the mortgage or make a car payment?
To heck with that, I'm going to do something fun for myself."

So, I did something I've never done. I got on Gunbroker last night and bought a new CZ75B duotone in .40 S&W, and a new S&W stainless 1911. I should have 'em in a couple of weeks or so. I've heard good reports for both guns, so I'm hoping they'll live up to my expectations.

These aren't my guns, but here's what I bought...Happy Birthday to me!

Very nice... a couple of great choices.

Look at it this way... when they arrive, you can say that you have only averaged buying one gun every five years.

Guessing what you paid for them, it works out to about $0.40 a day... you're worth it!

Outstanding. I like CZs because they are really good pistols, and because their US President and Chief Sales Lady, Alice Poluchova, is really cool!
