how do i do it? i know i have to push the black pin. just can't figure out how to get it to budge

Are you talking about the trigger group, or the sear mechanism?

the hole sear block.. I can't seem to get the black pin to budge out of the handle

It must be gummed up some how. It should come out fairly easy; a few light taps on a pin punch with a screwdriver handle should be all it takes. Try driving it out from the left side, to the right.
