I have a 3913 Ladysmith with the factory Novak sights. I'd like to replace the front sight with an identical Novak tritium front sight. I don't want a full set, just the front, and I want it to work with the existing rear sight.

Problem is, ordering from the Novak website requires you to know the exact total height of your existing front sight. Does anyone know which Novak front sight post S&W used for the 3913 Ladysmith?

I could just send them the slide and have them install it, I suppose. But I figured I'd ask here first.

Call Trijicon customer service (see below). They will replace the lamps in your existing night sights for around $70. You need only send them the slide with the night sights on it. (Much cheaper than shipping a firearm.) I've not had it done yet, but I did talk them about it. They rarely have to remove the sights, so your settings remain untouched. Trijicon provided the Novak night sights to S&W for their pistols.

The pistol doesn't currently have night sights, though. I want to replace my plain front with a tritium front of the same height, and keep my plain non-tritium rear sight.

That's cool about Trijicon replacing the lamps, though. My wife shoots a Glock 26 with Trijicons (sights ca. 1996) so she'll need new ones in a few years. Nice to know you don't have to buy a whole new set and have them installed (and lose zero in the process).

Hello,
I bought a used model 6906 (d.o.b. 1996) and would like to replace the standard front sight with a tritium type.
Does the .232" S&W front sight listed as S&W catalog no. 263010000 or Brownell's 940-000-432WB match with the original rear sight (3-dot)?...or do I have to purchase a new front and rear set?
Any comments, please.
Garo
