Did S&W ever make a lite weight auto like the 669 or 469 or newer series with a spur or outside hammer? I like the series pistol but would like to have a hammer that can be cocked if necessary.I have a 669 now. Bill

You can have a full size hammer installed on the compacts.

I think you can cock the bobbed hammer on a TDA gun, you just have to ease it out a ways using the trigger. Pretty sure the 4516 works that way.

What I worry about is a failure to fire, and you won't be able to ease the hammer out with the trigger. Darn near broke a fingernail off trying to get the hammer back. Thanks for the info. Bill
