Nice pistol. Very good condition for a police trade-in; less than average scuffs and nicks, excellent mechanical condition, working night sights, and was even clean. Only nit to pick is the rail is a little bit loose and can wiggle a bit. Not an operational problem. I was surprised that it was a decocker. It is marked "CSPD".
I wanted a 9mm to go with the plain-jane 4006 I have. I am very impressed with the quality of the machining, the trigger, the feel in the hand, along with the forged, all stainless tank-like construction on the 3rd generation Smith autos.
Where was the love for the 3rd generation Smiths during the lost years of the 90's and the earlier part of this decade? I don't remember reading anything about them during the day.
