I ordered a 4053, but was informed a few days later, that the only ones they had left had cracked frames.
I am in the market again for a 40.
I am trying to find specs on the 4013, 4053 and the 4006.
The specs that I have found may not be accurate.
Here is what I have found - the 4013 is a SA/DA model with a 3 1/2 inch barrel that weighs in at 26.8 ounces.
The 4053 is the same pistol that is DA only.
The 4006 is a 4 inch model, SA/DA and weighs 38 1/2 ounces.
I would like one to carry and shoot, so the 4006 may not be an ideal pistol to carry.
Any information on these models or any specs?
Any information would be appreciated.

You should also consider the 4003 which is the aluminum frame version of the 4006.

You want a hard one to find , try finding a 4026 , I just happen to luck into this one . Of the 3 you mentioned the 4013 is definitely going to be the easiest one to carry and conceal . All the rest are made of stainless steel and after a couple of hours of carrying , you WILL notice .

Thanks for the replies. There are a couple mentioned that I have never heard of before. So many choices.
The 4013 seems to be a favorite. Isn't the 4013 and the 4053 the same pistol except for the SA/DA difference? I thought that the ending 3 in the model number meant alloy frame?

The 4053 is a DAO with an alloy frame. Here is a 4053 and a 3913.

After trying the 4006 I settled on the 4053. A little shorter, a little more compact, and substantially lighter.
Also, the DAO trigger is silky smooth.

I was doing some background research and stumbled across this mention of "cracked frames" on 4053s.
Has anyone else heard of this?
I'm going to start a separate thread.
This is the first I've heard of the matter -- and I was curious whether anyone else had caught wind of it.

If you have the money, be on the lookout for a Shorty 40. This the the Performance Center .40 S&W concealed carry gun.
