Default 2214 Ammo question

I have a 2214 and it is kind of finicky about the ammo I use.

I was out shooting it on Saturday with bulk Winchester ammo and it would fire it just fine, but not eject the empty case. I then switched to some CCI Standard Velocity and it functioned fine.

I have also shot CCI Blazer and had no problem. Are these pistols know to be picky with ammo?

I have owned nine of that series of pistols. Only one, a 2213, is picky about what it eats. It does not like Blazer or Federal bulk ammo. Never had a problem with the others.

I shoot CCI Standard velocity in my 2213, 2206 and 622 with no problems at all. Only had problems with Thunderbolt 22's.

I have one that preforms flawlessly.

I shoot Winchester High Velocity, 38 grain 1280fps. Box of 333 rounds at WalMart is about $13 or $14

I use the same ammo in my 622.

I have a 2213 I bought new and it is picky about what cartridge is used. So picky, I sent it to S&W when I first got it as it did not seem to like ANY load. They polished the feed ramp a little and said it was fixed. It was still picky about ammo but I found it to be dead reliable with Winchester Super X loads.
Just find a load it likes and it will shoot fine!

My 2206 ran any ammo just fine except Rem 22lr (either the golden bullet or thunder bolt). But same with my Beretta Neos. I think very little of Rem 22lr ammo.
