What grips do you use on your 6906? What other model grips will fit the 6906? Do the grips you use make the grip larger around?
Thanks. I just bought a 6906. The factory grips are fine but one side is rather scared up.
If you have pictures that would be great.

I put a Hogue rubber grip, with wrap around finger grooves on my 6906.
It now fills my hand better, and does not move around during firing. Hope this helps. Regards 18DAI.

I prefer the factory grips, the Hogues are a little to big for me. I don't know of any others that are available for the 6906. The 6900/Shorty-forty/4000TSW compacts all use the same grips, they run about $20 from S&W or Brownells.

Did Smith ever make a straight-back grip for those models?

That's the way I went. I don't really have a problem with the original grips, but the Hogues feel just a little bit better.

I find the wrap around grips to be too bulky on this type pistol. I stippled the factory grips as did many others on this forum. I prefer this setup for a carry pistol.

I like factory arched-backs on my double stack compacts.
