S&W 4526
Howdy,
I'm new to S&W firearms and I'm looking for information on the 4526. I haven't been able to find anything online and was hoping someone here can help me. I have the opportunity to buy one for $350. I'm wondering if that is a good deal. If so, are the any pros/cons to this gun? Thanks in advance.

Cool, thanks for the info. The only thing I know about the gun is it's a 4526, double action and a "dull" silver color. I have not seen the gun for myself. I'm buying it from my brother-in-law who lives in a different state.
Thanks again

They are a rare bird. I think they were only made for a year or so. I picked one up a few years back that was in 98% for $475.00. I sold it for $500.00. It was a darn fine shooting .45 that I should have kept. Don't pass it up if it is in good shape.

According to Roy Jinks, they only "produced 1389 units" of the 4576. My guess would be that they made even less of the 4526. I would not mind having one to go with my 4576. At $350, why is it not yet in your gun safe?!?!?!
Go get it!

Thanks for the responses. I figured I was getting a good deal since it's a family thing. BUT...I've heard an old saying that goes "if you can't screw your family, who can you screw!!" so I wanted to make sure it was a good deal. My brother in law will be here next month and I've already agreed to buy it so it will be in my safe before too long!
Thanks again for the replies!

Remember, we love photos here, especially clear, sharp ones.
