I'd appreciate if you'll share your knowledge of .45 and 9mm models, for concealed carry.

Thanks Much,
Louis

This question is immensly broad. Can you narrow it down a little?

a 9MM might expand to a 45 size hole..the 45 will never shrink to the size of a 9MM..all5x

If you do your job with proper shot placement, either caliber will work

For the most part I carry a .40 and occasionally will carry a 9mm and have even been known to carry a .380. I would feel comfortable with any of them. As long as you place your shots right any of them will do the job. I however do not have any experience with .45.

I've worked on a couple hundred handgun shooting cases - they seem to work equally well on people. 9mm tends to be easier to shoot well and the 9mm guns hold more rounds.

Shot placement, shot placement, shot placement.

But I have both.

+1 with Eric.

You can shoot someone with a .500 S&W but if you don't put it in the right place it won't do any good. I would carry a 9mm over a 45acp due to the size, weight, and round count aspect. A CS9 or 3913 are excellent carry guns.

Eric, look at your post count. Wooooo. Even more evil. An extra 6 for fun!

Well, lessee, I got a M&P 9mm compact thats a lot smaller than my Springfield TRP. I also have a Colt LW officers model (.45) thats a lot smaller than my Beretta 92f.
So much depends on the gun and the platform its built on, the caliber seems of minor significance in the carrying equation.

I like the CS9 and CS45. Either round will do quite well, so choose the one you like. Also popular are the Models 3913, 457, Compact M&P and snubnose 357 and 38 special revolvers. Using what you can hit with under pressure is more important than the ballistic differences.

I have carried a Glock 36 in 45 ACP. More recently I have opted for more discreet pocket carry with either my S&W 642 or Kahr PM-9 - they both conceal easilly in a pant pocket with a pocket holster.
