Here are some pics of my 1006 that I took while vacationing in a cabin outside of Gatlinburg, TN a couple of years ago. Notice that the safety is engaged. That is because it was loaded w/ Double Tap Speer Gold Dot 165 gr JHP rounds for protection against black bears while taking the dog out after dark.

I wish I would have kept mine. I liked Double Tap Ammo with 165 gr Golden Sabre bullets for protection against anything!

A man has got to know his limitations...?

A 1006 with a safety engaged won't do you or your dog much good against a really, really fast black bear...

Mine's plenty safe -- without the safety...

I just got a 1076 in great shape. Haven't take in out shooting yet, but soon, very soon.

I picked up my 1076 at the SAR show in Phoenix. They only had 4 of them at the entire show and two of them were priced way to high. The 10xx series is great to shoot.
