Wandered in my local gunshop, and found that they had a consignment Model 52 for $949+tax.

Condition appears to be unfired, and it comes with the following:

- Original box in near-mint condition (blue 2-piece box, with all inserts, number matches gun)
- All paperwork and tools (cleaning rod/brushes, wrench, etc)
- 3 factory magazines, all appear unused

The gun is totally pristine, no wear whatsoever.

Good deal?

It doesn't sound too far out of the ball park especially with all the original extras. The only bad side if any is it will be a safe queen. Good luck, Larry

Its just a tad high for my area, but when you factor in the high level of workmanship in this pistol.....Its a deal! They are fun to shoot for the casual weekend shooter and also get the job done in local bullseye matches......It also shoots an economical round if your reloading.

The book does say LNIB $1100.00, so seeing that it is an earlier A series with the 2 piece box your getting a good deal, at least you can look it over and handle it, unlike buying one from an auction site. You can always pick up a shooter if this has not been shot.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

Alas, due to a situation beyond my control I had to pass on it.

If it's still there in a month or so I'll likely buy it, but as of right now, plans are on hold.

That being said, I let a friend know about it, and he may very well buy it.

If it's at a shop, put it in layaway!!!

The 52 will always be sought after and it's not a bad price esp. for that condition.

2 months ago I paid $825 for a nice 52 I had in layaway w/ no extra mag or anything else and I thought I did pretty good.

If that's a 52 no dash then I'd like to know the name of the gunshop that has it, cause that's a really great price.

I paid a little less than that for one with only 2 mags, a worn box, and no tools down here in Sierra Vista a few months ago, it also appeared unfired, I solved that problem though. Sounds like a deal to me.
