Well, here's a comparison for you. I bought a NIB 5906 from CDNN a couple of months ago for $399.99 w/ONE mag. I then paid CDNN $22.50 for shipping, and my ffl transfer dealer $25.00 for doing the paperwork. So, all in all, I had $447.49 invested by the time I got it home.

I ordered two new 5906 mags from CDNN for $29.95 ea. and paid (approx) $15.00 for shipping so had another $74.90 or so invested there.

My grand total for the approximate same package as you purchased cost me roughly $522 & change.

I should think you did just fine..

Now, get yourself a set of Crimson Trace Lasergrips for your 5906 and you have the perfect home defense weapon.

Best Wishes,

Jesse

P.S. Then pick up a 6906 for a companion to your 5906.. It'll be better for cc, and WILL accept the 15rd 5906 mags. (w/grip+2 S&W adapter).

I'd say you did quite well. The 5906 is one of my favorite pistols!

This pistol shows to have a date code on May 1994 on the box, The trigger is alot smooth than my well worn and trigger worked 4566. I plan on installing a fiber optic sight on the front and blacking out the rear to set it up for IDPA SSP pistol.

Congrats on your pistol. I'd say you did well, and PX15's 6906 idea sounds good. Either of those pistols would do well in IDPA.
