Had my Model 41 for 37 years never had problem until now .Every few rounds the trigger is hanging up by not firing the next round. Have to back of pressure and pull again and it fires. Any help would be appricated.

Sounds like a super good cleaning in order - the internals. Pull grips and related internals that can be removed. Use a great penetrating solvent like KROIL. Do your best - AND DO IT AGAIN!!

I had a similar problem, then it wouldn't fire at all. I returned it to S & W and they fixed it no charge (it is a 2003 model and I am not the original owner). The repair paperwork with it said "hammer falling into half-cock" and stated that the hammer had been replaced. It works flawlessly now and I don't have the problems with ammo that I had before, however I have now settled in on CCI std velcity only.
