Gang,

I am needing some mags for a newly acquired 4003TSW and noticed there are two different follower colors commonly available. Between the blue and yellow follower magazines, is one better than the other?

For those of you that own 4003TSWs, how do you like them?

Thanks in advance!

Absolutely love my 4003TSW. Carried it on-duty for years and during all my practice and training shoots I never had any problems so I had 100% faith in the gun. Bought mine about 7-8 years ago and it came with blue followers. I've also acquired some yellows that have run fine. I have no preference on the colors. You'll love the gun it's a workhorse and a great shooter. I am slightly biased towards Smiths though.

Thanks! I am looking forward to it. I wanted an inexpensive and durable .40 for reload experimentation. Nothing extreme, just to play with various bullet weights and loads. I don't really trust my G22 for that given the lack of full case support. The more I read about the TSW's features, the better a deal the police trade guns seemed. If I find a nice minor 40 load I like, the pistol may even make its way to a USPSA match with me as a Production class gun.

I don't believe there is any differance other than color on the the double stack 4000 series mags. Blue is the newest. If you reload there are a lot of reduced loads out there, but to drop down to minor would probably require a lighter recoil spring to function.

I appreciate the follower info. Mags are very reasonable right now so I thought I would lay in quite a few. I had thought about the recoils spring issue. Lately I have been too busy to shoot any matches, but will likely experiment a bit with that in the spring. At least that gives me a good excuse to buy a new toy.
