Default S&W Tactical .40 cal. Model 4013 Light Rail

I picked up a Brand New Old Stock Model 4013 Stainless Tactical .40 today for a song. And just wondering what will fit and also look good on the rail? Maybe just a light? Maybe a Light and Laser combo?

I need some manf. names and model numbers that will fit and look good.

Anyone have any idea's?

THANKS In Advance!

I do believe you're stuck with using whatever will fit on that rail. IIRC, that rail has it's own specification, the lights were marked M5.

Default Tactical Light TSW4013

THANKS for the reply! I've looked everywhere and can NOT find a Insight Application chart anywhere. I was hoping someone had one with a light or light/laser combo on one and could give me the model number?

Our local shops don't stock much now with the economy in the dumps. And I hate to guess and order one without really knowing what model number I need.

It looks like my choices are M3 M5 or M6? The X2 for sub-compacts looks too small.

Default TSW 4013 Tactical Light

Mr. W R Moore, you are correct! The S&W TSW model line's light rails are unique to them ONLY! And the ONLY thing that fits them in the Insight Line is the M5 series. And it has been discontinued for several years. But Laser Devices Inc. still makes a Laser/Light combo. But it costs more than the gun. LOL! So while hunting all the Auction sites. I stumbled across a Chinese Company that still makes them. I emailed them and they swear (?) they make a exact copy of the M5 just for the TSW line. And hinted they are the makers for insight????? But got real vague when I started asking were these Insight M5's. So who knows? But it is funny they still make and stock the "M5" copies?

So I have one coming!

So THANKS for the info and reply!

So if anyone else needs one, or the Companies info, feel free to email me.

What's wrong with a Streamlight TLR-1 or TLR-2? I also picked up a new 4013 recently and I mounted a TLR-2 on mine. No problem at all. Light and/or laser.

It's about 50/50 to me. But the M5 was made just for the TSW line and the TLR-1 or TLR-2 you have to use the adapter (AKA KEY). But that's NOT a big deal either. I've owned both, the Insight and the Streamlight and like both, but prefer the Insight a little tee tiny bit better. So I guess you could say it's about 53/47 % with me leaning towards the Insight Brand.

I guess it's just what your use too?

I prefer the TLR1 but it might be a little on the large size for your particular gun. My TLR1 rides on three different duty guns for different seasons. If you want an M5 check ebay or gunbroker. I like Surefire, too but can't justify the price to my bank (wife). Here's what the TLR1 looks like on my 4046. BTW, this thing has held up through I don't know how many thousands of rounds.
