Default M&P blasting the slide???

I have an M&P9 and I have been really temped lately to media blast it and bring it to a satin brushed stainless look. Has anyone ever done this? Tips, advice, pics?

I know this is not everyones cup-o-tea but I just like to "tweak" my toys/tools and vehicles to make the different from everyone else's.

I have heard that smith has started producing some m&p's with brushed SS slide. Can't find a pic anywhere but figured cabelas or someone like that would have them...

Here's a pic I picked up somewhere that provides an example of a blasted slide. It also shows a feature called 'melting' which involves a smoothing of sharp edges on the slide. I've seen several gunsmiths and customizers in my travels that can do this kind of work.

Burwell is one of the outfits that does great work and can help you with the blasting and/or the 'Melt' effect...

Link to Burwell with photo examples of HIS work.
