Default S&w 4013

What firing system does this gun use ?? Sigma style or 1911 style. Thanks Dan

Actually, the answer is neither. The 4013 is TDA, traditional double action. From hammer down, the first shot is typically double action, with the hammer cocking with the longer first stroke of the trigger. All subsequent shots are single action with a shorter trigger stoke. However, from hammer down, the hammer can be thumbed back to cocked and all shots would be single action. Engaging the safety from hammer cocked drops the hammer.
