My CS45 has night sights, they were on when I bought the pistol, don't know the brand.I had one heck of a time drifting the rear sight right,it finally moved and now I see a hole in the top of the slide,so I'm going to drift it back to cover the hole.I couldn't move the front sight at all.
Is there a tool too drift the sights without pounding on them?
I'm shooting low left.
There is a safety spring under the rear sight. It will pop out and go flying if you are not careful. There is such a thing as a sight pusher. With that said, my gunsmith did not use one to install my sights on my CS45 and neither did I to drift them for adjustment. The slide should be removed and placed in a non-maring vice and a non-maring brass drift should be used to drift them. Without the slide in a vice, it is difficult to get them to move. Windage adjustment can be made by drifting but elevation can only be adjusted with a different height front sight or a different weight bullet. My CS45 sights, original Novacs, Trijicons, and XS have all been regulated for 230grn bullets and were dead on elevation. No offense, but if you havent done it, I would suggest shooting the gun off a solid rest to verify the elevation is the gun or you. Low left is often the shooter gripping the gun as the trigger breaks pulling the barrel down.
