What's the difference between the SW MP40c Compact and the SW MP40 Compact?

Welcome and congratulations on a great new gun. I'm very happy with my 40c.

It's the same gun. The actual model name is M&P40c, the little "c" meaning compact. People say it differently but we get the idea.

Product: Smith & Wesson M&P Compact .40 S&W

Product: Smith & Wesson M&P40c - Compact Size, Thumb Safety

There's a difference between the first and the second on here. Just don't know what all they are. One has an SKU number of 109003 and the other has an SKU number of 106303.

The first has no external safety, the second one does. It also looks like the rear sights are slightly different. Otherwise they should be the same.
