Default CCI Standard velocity ammo

There is a guy on GB that is selling the CCI standard velocity ammo at not so inflated prices, I didn't know he had more than the 1000 rounds listed, so when he mentioned the shipping, at $14.00 for 2000 rounds, I asked about the 5000 round shipping, which he said $25.00, so he is selling the 5000 rounds for a total of $300.00 shipped, which I felt was very fair.
Just do a search for the ammo and you will find him, just give him a call.

The ammo supply must be loosening up a bit. The local gouger has CCI MiniMags on sale for $25 per brick of 500.

I have been buying my CCI Stan. Vel. from Champion’s Choice; Champion's Choice - Home Page for some time. They sell it in 50rd paper packages at the best price I have found.
Currently they are out of stock, but will back order. My last order took about 2 ½ months. They are unable to give ship dates since CCI doesn’t tell when to expect it. They move lots of ammunition for Bullseye Shooters and are a top flight bunch to deal with, they did not jack-up prices during the shortage.
If you have a supply which will hold you for a while, I recommend them.

Dick's Sporting Goods for $24.99 a brick in the paper 50 rd boxes. I bought a case last week. It's their "regular" price right now.

They want twice as much for the Mini-Mags in 100 rd plastic boxes; $9.99 box.

Wal-mart has both Federal and Remington bulk packs for $16.47. Rem has 525 in box and Federal has 550. That would make the Federals $167.40 for 5500 rounds. You`re paying too much.

You may also want to try the Aguila ammunition. I find it works very well in my Ruger autopistol and 10/22. It's also the .22 sold by the CMP.

Except that many concider CCI Standard Velocity to be target quality .22 ammunition at a half-way reasonable price. It shoots 1/2", 50 yard groups out of my M41. When I shoot Bullseye matches, I need all the help I can get.

I am way low on my supply and need to order another case!

The quality of the CCI Standard Velocity in paper boxes varies. ATK which owns both CCI and Federal has marketed Federal .22 ammo in CCI Standard Velocity paper boxes. It isn't near the quality of the real CCI Standard Velocity .22 ammo. Ya pays yo money and takes yo chances.

Default Picky, Picky, Picky.....

A friend of mine bought his wife a Sig Mesquito that will only shoot CCI ammo and Winchester 40 gr. High Velosity. It will not shoot regular 22 ammo, like Federal, without frequent misfeeds. He called Sig and they told him it was high quality pistol that will only shoot high quality ammo. Huh?
My cheap S & W, 22A will now eat anything I feed it, after a short breakin period.

Champs sell both paper and plastic packages of course. I have been unable to tell the difference but have only had a couple cases of the paper. I will try some shooting from a rest to see if I notice a accuracy change, reliability is the same.
I figured the paper would be both cheaper to produce and to ship.
