Default N-Frame 327 Fed Magnum !

I think you could squeeze 10 rounds of .327 federal Magnum into a N-frame cylinder. The 327 makes power factor for ICORE, as well as minor PF for USPSA / IPSC. A 10 shot revo could compete competitivly in production division in USPSA and give the bottom feeders a run for their money.

Come on S&W, you know Jerry will use one !

I'd buy one in a New York second! I'd cheer if S&W would introduce the .327 in a target version in K, L, or N frame for that matter.

We need to give the .327 more time to catch on, in the sluggish economy and also being that we're in the "hangover" of the massive gun sales surge, and now the market has kinda stagnated........many people are hesitant to add a new caliber and a new gun to their collection. Most gun buyers aren't "wheelgun fanatics" like many of us, and if they don't see .327 in cheap plinking ammo like .38 Special has, they won't buy.

People who buy revolvers will keep defaulting to the .357 and .38 as a "safe" choice because they know ammo will be available for it. No one wants to buy a gun in a round they think might die on the vine.

Look at all the .480 Ruger Super Redhawk owners, it went from the most powerful handgun round in the world to fading into obscurity.......unless you handload the round is pretty much dead.

You make a good point, but dead cartridges don't scare me! I've got a .22 Jet and a .357 Maximum. Great cartridges in great guns! (some assembly required)

I have a .500 Mag, and it's a "handload only" cartridge unless you've got an oil well in your backyard....

One of the guns on my to-buy list is the Ruger Blackhawk (8-shot) in .327 Mag.

And that's just because I haven't seen an equivalent N-frame from S&W.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing a 6 or 7 round K-Frame .327, more or less a 64 and a 67 in .327.

The J-frame in .327 doesn't quite cut it for me as a "shooter", I checked one out and it didn't feel very durable to me.

I bought the GP-100 (GP-141) and the Blackhawk in 327 Federal. These two supplement my Charter arms Patriot
S&W almost had the best Kit Gun with the Carry Comp but they ported it and missed the boat.
S&W would benefit from hiring a few field shooters to get a handle on what is actually useful in the field.
While I might hold my nose and buy a handgun with a key lock, polished stainless steel and ports are not an asset on a field pistol. Ultra-light handguns are difficult to shoot with precision from field positions so I don’t need any of that scandium stuff.

Incidentally, I shoot heavy bullets in the 327 Federal in the two big Rugers and the 327 cartridge is a good balance for the heavy frame handgun. The 327 is a handgun varminters “dream” for called varmints.

777 hmmmmm? Sounds fun and maybe a "long" range shooter. A 98gr LRNGC 'bout 1700fps? Yeah that's the 100 yard varmint ticket.

And a 10 round N frame for ICORE, we had that very same discussion after the Central States Regional last year, sign me up for one!!

I would like to put my request in for a .327 mag version of the M&P 360-- 6 rounds, a 3" barrel, fixed sights, NO PORTING!!, just a small lo profile bump with a trij insert or maybe a XS Dot. The titanium cylinder -- optional. That would probably rival the famed Model 65 as a perfect carry gun. Of course a K frame Model 65 LS in .327 magnum 3" with 7 rounds would pretty much put me over the edge I could go on but y'all get my drift. Hell the current model 60LS in 6 rounds .327 mag would be good too.

I just thought of it. A ten shot NFRAME Model 327 in 327 mag! Isn't that also the TRR8 or something in the M&P line? The 5" alloy gun I mean. THat's my final take.

You guys would fall on your face with all those moonclips hanging off the front of your belt. It would be pretty cool to see a scaled up companion to the 617 though. Maybe then they could call them the K-1022 and N-1032. Put 10 .357s on an X-frame and call it the X-1038.
