I looked at one of the Bersa's the other day. They are admittedly inexpensive but even at that I can't say I was very impressed with the fit and finish. I'd have to pass on the Bersa, but would buy a true PPK in .22

I would prefer to see the TPH make a come back. Don't choke up on the grip or she bites you back though. I love them and keep missing out when I find a good deal for being broke at the time.

I like the CZ Kadet in 22lr.

I have the;

S&W master piece revolver 6'' barrel 22lr
H&R 922 6" revolver in 22lr
Taurus 94 revolver in 22lr
Ruger MkI 22lr semi auto
Ruger MkII 22lr semi auto

I'd like to collect more too.

I wish someone would offer a change over kit for a tokarev pistol to make it 22cal. They could offset the centerline of the bore for the rim fire. I'm not too fond of the 1911's in 22cal.

I gots the 22cal disease when my first grandson was born. I been buying him all the turn of the century 22cal rifles.

I got a German made, pre 68 Walther PPK in 22LR in the late 80's. It had been reblued and immediately, the safety lever broke off. It took a year to get one from InterArms (then the Walther US dist). I also ordered an extra mag as it only came with 1.

The accuracy of the PPK 22 rivaled my K22! I had what I thought was the ultimate kit gun, plinker and shot it as much as I did my K-22. It camped, fished and hiked with me for many years and was carried as a bug a few times.

A family emergency forced me to part with it in 1997 and I'll regret it to my grave.

It was the only PPK 22 I've ever seen. I've seen a few PP 22's and some rare long barrel target PPK 22's with adj sights though.

I picked up this 22LR PPK several years ago at a gun show. It has been customized with a S&W adjustable sight, a widened trigger & Nill Grif grips. Shoots like a dream!

I bought a new PPK/s around 1970. It was never reliable no matter what I shot out of it. I finally sold it, but being a real James Bond fan (Sean Connery) I always regretted offloading it.

I would like to see a 22lr/22l/22s conversion kit for the tokarev pistol. Or a barrel insert for the CZ82 offset for the rimfire.

I'm glad I'm not alone. The old ones are expensive and collectible. I want a new one so I don't feel bad about using it.

Don't regret it too much. You can always get the original Bond gun that Bond himself preferred in both the books, and the first Bond movie (with Connery), Dr. No.

Bond preferred the Beretta model 418, with no grips. However, I'd prefer the PPK, shaken not stirred.

Default Simpson ltd

Hi Folks,
There are a ton of them at Simpson ltd.
There looks like some pretty good deals there to me.
I have no interest in Simpson, but was looking for a PP and thought I share the info with you.
Good luck.

Just purchased a Walther/S&W PPK .380 in August, so far everything is working up to par, no complaints. I have admired them for at least 30 years.

I really would love to see it in .22 cal, instant buy for me.

I work in a gun shop and the most returned guns are the new Walther in 22 cal. Everyone has same complaint, they jam every few shots.

How about a .22 PP? Just a hair bigger; this one is a great shooter. Holster is a left-handed copy of a German WW II Larson by Vic Perez in Burbank, CA.

For OIF2: Do you have any contact info for Vic Perez? I have long wanted a left hand WWII style holster for my PP .22LR. I tried Googling him with no success. Thanks. Keep shootin'

I have one of the Manhurin PPK/s in .22 and its a lovely thing to look at and shoot.
I also have one of the Bersa's in .22. It functions very well and shoots quite accurately but I don't think anyone is going to mistake the workmanship for a Walther, for $300 its very good but its a $300 pistol.
at one time I had a Astra Constable in .22 which was a Spanish PPK/s knock off of sorts and it was also an excellent shooter and extremely reliable but you don't see them very often either.

Default PPK in .22

I posted my tale in the Lounge last week. I sold a PP .22
many years ago & regretted it. Finally found one that had been
languishing in my friend's safe. He didn't know I wanted one
& I didn't know he had one. Here it is 42 years after the regretted sale.
All things come to he who waits- well, maybe not all things.

Regards,
turnerriver

Bob, i've had a couple in .22 and .25. Both later guns. I have found, like other guns I've lusted after, that the 'wanting is better than the having'....

If you're going to get one, be sure to buy plenty of replacements for those cheesy plastic magazine baseplates. The break very easily.

My newly issued Grandson, Andy receives instruction with a K-22.

But, based upon his grin, I think he liked my Manhurin PPK .22 alot better...

Here Andy packs the PPK in an equally classic George Lawrence "Addaclip" Holster...

Leighton, man I love that pile-O-pistols of yours! Merry Christmas Brother!

I'd like to see them make a PP .22, especially since it would fix my troubles of trying to find a reasonably priced magazine for my PPK/S .22 so I can shoot it for the first time.

Another + ......it is an alloy (PPK-L) lightweight. Love it!
