I would absolutely love to see a .41mag Mountain Gun, w/ tapered bbl. , and of course the red inserts with white outline sights....wide trigger wouldn't hurt either. They could even toss a set of combat magna grips on it for me ! ( as long as we are dreaming, that is)

I'd like to see one in an L frame. Might have to be 5 shot, but that's ok.

Same for me...with a 2.5" barrel.

I agree with the OP that .41 magnum was a very good idea and that in many respects it is superior to the .44 mag. But you can't change history. The .41 is still an obscure chambering and it's still slim pickings. I'll gladly invest in a Model 57 or whatever...but only after someone out there begins manufacturing a decent lever action rifle in .41 Magnum as well.

4" Mountain Gun without a lock would be nice.

Going to look at the new redhawks I guess. The 2 3/4" barreled 41 mag redhawk looks interesting.

Henry's seem really well made, but I simply cannot warm up to their front-end loading tubular magazine. I love the side loading gate of Marlins and others....which can be reloaded "on the fly". My dream lever-gun would be a high-quality blued steel and wood 1892 with 24" barrel...sporting Williams Fire Sights and holding 10 to 12 rounds of .41 Mag.

1892 would be an excellent platform. But you lost me with the sights. Now maybe a Marbles tang sight.....

Personally, if I could have only 1 revolver, I would want a 3.5" barreled Model 57 with a round butt and Hogue Monogrip (wood). Red Ramp front sight with a white outline rear, and no internal lock. It would be nice if the barrel had a full lug.

I have a nickel 57 in 8 3/8" with a 4" bbl that could be mounted. Like to find a new owner for it. I never get to hunt with it anymore.

Ammo supply is never a problem, if you have the right molds....thanks to "dad" that will never be my problem. He taught me young then stacked me deep when he died.

Scandium 358?
maybe this would work too. Lighter than the old M58 and a 3 or 3.5" barrel round butt.

Aloha,
I want a M57 with 5" bbl to match my M27 5"
I wonder how funny an 8 3/8 bbl would look if cut down to 5"?

I agree on the Henry, I want one, but I hate the tube loading. I had a front feed tube 22 as a kid and ended up losing the tube. Its an easy fix so long as the gun is still in production... but who knows 20 years from now.
