Default Interchangable front sights

I wish all revolvers were offered with the easily changed front sight option.

That's one thing I have to give Ruger allot of credit for. Their Redhawk series has such a front sight. Where they fall short is they don't offer much from the factory, but there's allot of aftermarket options and they simply snap in! Not even a pin to mess with.

I actually had a custom patridge style front sight created for my original 90s vintage Redhawk from the stock sight by an interesting fellow down in Ringgold, GA by the name of Travis Strahan. He actually welded and machined it for something like $35 back in the late 90s. I think he did it for fun!

But I could, if I wanted to, get another stock unit with the red ramp insert and snap it back in, in a matter of seconds.

Yes, I agree that S&W should add that feature to their revolvers.

S&W does have such a thing on some of their revolver offerings. My 629 Classic and my 627 Pro both have it. I changed out the red ramp sights on both to a gold bead patridge style blade.

Certainly on all K, L and N frame models!

I've been spoiled with my PC and Pro series revolvers in this respect. SOOOOo easy to change the sights on these I don't want to buy anything else.
