4 inch Model 25
My personal grail gun has long been a 4 inch blued model 25 .45 Colt. Since Smith & Wesson already offers the model 29 in a 4 inch model it would seem like a run of 4 inch model 25's wouldn't require a lot of retooling to produce.

Agreed. I would love one myself. I had a Model 25-13 blued Mtn Gun and regrettably sold it to pay medical bills.

They made the 25-5 in 4". I traded a stainless Walther PPKs for one several years ago.

There was a 4" 25-5 in the classifieds not too long ago
I'd like one in 45 acp with a 50s era finish...and cokes!

I've seen (and bid on) a few 4 inch models but apparently I'm not the only one looking for one and they have gone above my limit.

Funny story about mine. A buddy and mine were frogging one night and for whatever reason one particular stop I had the rifle (a 22). I spied a pretty good frog off this little low water bridge and went after it (and got it). I was a ways away from my buddy and he started kind of a loud stage whisper "Bring me the rifle, bring me the rifle". By the time I got there he was pointing at one big humping snapping turtle that was just sliding off the rock just under the surface it was resting on. My buddy goes "Man! If I just had a gun we would have been eating turtle" My response was to reach around to his right side, grab the grip of the 25-5 he had in a holster and wiggled it "What do think this is?"

The 25-9 45 Colt probably is the best.
For 45acp IMO the 5" pre MIM 625 is hard to beat.
