Default Model 40 (or 42) in .32 H&R Mag or .327 Federal

Hello friends,

S&W hasn't made them in a while (2007), but the sweet feel and classic look of the J-frame with the old-style grip safety is very nice. No need for an internal "lawyer lock", and when you go to .32 caliber, you should be able to get an extra round to play with.

The lightweight frame of the model 42 would be even more comfortable to carry.

While we're at it, let's have them produced with 2" or 3" barrels.

I would prefer the gun to be chambered in .327 Federal Magnum, but I'd probably just use .32 H&R Magnum, or even the older .32 S&W Long ammo. No need to beat myself up.

Best wishes everyone.

They came very close with the 432PD. Airweight, 1 7/8" barrel, Centennial covered hammer, and in .32 H&R Mag. Only weighs 13 oz unloaded. Very nice shooting.

The one on the bottom, the top one (with the hammer) is the 431PD, also in 32 H&R Mag.
