Ladysmith Revolver
It might be interesting if S&W could bring back the old Ladysmith revolver but instead of 22 rimfire, offer it in 25 ACP. An absolutely tiny revolver with a smallish bark.

I'd be happy if they brought it back in 22 LR or 22 mag.
Anyone listening S&W?

.22LR has about the same energy as .25ACP but is vastly easier and cheaper to come by so another vote for a re-issue and update to .22LR.
Considering the cost of the originals and how fragile they are I can imagine there would be a ready market for such a thing.
The only thing I can imagine might dissuade them is it's likely to cost just as much to produce in labor and machine time as say a model-10 but a lot of folks would want it to be cheaper because it's "much smaller" and "just a .22". The MSRP on a M-10 is $792 today, would *you* want a new Ladysmith $792+tx worth?
I personally would rather spend that on one I could really shoot than a poor specimen original I could nervously feed .22CB, but I might be in the minority?
In the tech world we'd encourage S&W to do a Kickstarter type thing with pre-orders and they would only go ahead if the project got funded to a level they could at least break-even at.

I too would love to see one I have an original one that I occasionally shoot with 22 CB. I also have the Rossi Princess version which is a poor imitation at best. I would think with modern stainless steel and CNC equipment it could be done, but as has been stated no one could blame them for not tooling up until they had sufficient orders to justify the cost.

I am in for $800. Heck I paid considerable more for my original and new 617s are running more.

Advantage of a 25acp is you could maybe have a decent trigger pull then.
22 needs a hard DA pull but probably a better round nowadays, with lots of choice.
How about: New cartridge as well... a lengthened 25acp centerfire with a more magnum-level pressure capability?

How about a 22 center fire like this one as a commercial round
The 22 CCM around 1900fps from a 18" barrel with a 40 gr bullet
IN fact J and K frames set up with a dual firing pin and switching hammer like a model 53 22 jet with 2 cylinders would be nice if we are going to wish big. I have a model 53 and would "only" need a long cylinder, a bunch of brass and dies. The brass is unobtainium, but can be made from hornet brass with a bunch of work, which isn't all that easy to get either
