So I know S&W has launched some "competition" and metal versions of their M&P pistols but I wish they really launched an all steel version.
The metal versions are pretty much the same weight as the polymer guns. So yes, you gain some durability but you also get less polymer flex and thus just a bit more stiffer recoil impulse.
What I would love to see is an all steel frame that would allow it to play in the Shadow 2, Beretta 92X Performance side of things. I mean even Sig's infused frames give it that weight.
Really make it a good option to run for Production division and not just being a fan of Smith but compromising a bit. You want that extra weight to just soak up that recoil and steady that gun.
Other than that I mean they are optics ready, triggers are ok but you can Apex it but it is just lacking that all metal frame.
I mean on the revolver side of things Smith is thee option to go but on the pistol side of things, the name is not dropped as much as the CZ, Beretta's or Sig's. Which is such a shame.
