In my search for information on the new guns I accquired this month, I found this site and love what I have been reading. I hope the members of this site can help me.

My dad passed away and wanted me to have his guns, knowing I would take care of them. I need to find out what a fair price of these S&W's are so I can make peace with my sisters.

1.S&W 686 Stainless 2.5 inch with wood grips (2)
2.S&W 637 38Spl with lasergrips
3.S&W Model 5906 9m
4.S&W Model 4516-1 45 auto
5.S&W Model 4506 45 auto
6.S&W Model 629-5 44mag
7.S&W Model 5926 9m parabellum
8.S&W 1911
9.S&W 686-6 note inside says serial one of first 30 made. Has wood grips.
10.S&W 686-4 with wood grips
11.S&W 625-8 JM .45acp
12.S&W 627-5 Performance Center 8 shot
13.S&W Model 14-3 38 Special CTG
14.S&W 29-10 50year Anniversary 44 mag in wooden box.
15.S&W Model 500

Most still have the box and have never been fired. Only three of them have ever been fired and they are in excellent condition. I plan on keeping these but need to come up with a fair price to pay my anti-gun sisters. My dad was a retired law enforcement officer and would never want these to leave the family.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, what a collection. I am sure some of the sages on here can help you, but I just want to say you are a wise man for wanting to pay your sisters outright so there will be no repercussions later on. Good luck and your father would be proud.

For starters, buy a copy of the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson (THIRD EDITION). Maybe your father has it in his library with a nice S&W collection like that. It will tell you much about these guns, and give you a fair, if not exact idea of price. Estate issues are always very tricky. Good luck!

Sorry about your loss.
My respects go to any man courageous enough to wear the uniform.
I second Houston Rick. I have a copy and it lists prices for each model based on condition.

Nice collection!
