With S&W making the .22LR AR-15 I would like to see them make the M&P15 in .45ACP and 9mm. I think I would buy both!!

An FBI agent friend of mine once refused the then new HK MP5SF on grounds that a "rifle or carbine should be chambered in a rifle caliber." Somehow, the armorer/armory dug him up an M16 Carbine, which he gladly accepted. I agree with his advice.

Wouldn't 10mm be a better option in the M&P15 carbine. The HK MP5-10 was a great platform and Olympic Arms has uppers for the 10mm.

But to truly have a high performance pistol caliber like the 10mm in the M&P 15 and also a matching M&P 10mm pistol would be the iceing on the cake!

OK how about one in 40 S&W that uses the M&P mags. or the 45 ACP one that uses the M&P 45 mags. Of course I would agree that one in 10mm that uses the NEW M&P10 mags would be GREAT.
