Please bring back a limited run of 627's. I had one with the five inch barrel with the under lug. The balance was excellent.

Which 627 did you have in mind? They still make various versions of the .357 and there is going to be another run of 8x.38 Super. The Supers will be very expensive but there are quite a few steel and ICORE shooters who want them.

Have to be the performance Center 627 5" prod 170210. You are right, the balance is excellent. Shopping with my wife for a wheel gun, and she spotted this 8-shooter in the case, got it in her hands and said simply that this was the one. End of story. A tad more than I planned on paying, but hey, she likes shooting mags, and she didn't particularly LIKE guns until an NRA Hand Gun Safety class. So over all, I'm happy!

I noticed in the 627 that about one in 50 is a missfire (Magtech, Fiocchi, UltraMax) both 38sp & 357mag. Primer is dimpled but not fired. I drop into my S&W 586 and fire every time???
I wrote to S&W attn Performance Center 3-weeks ago, but no response. Surprised.

Just to close this out - soon after last post, sent the 627 PC back to S&W and they turned it around in a week. At least 1,000 38sp and several hundred mags since and zero problems.
