I took my five year old grandson to a gunshow Saturday. He is already hooked, but in a surprisingly mature way. He knows that guns can be dangerous. I'd like to find a small frame pistol or revolver that won't work...much like those from the late 1800's and early 1900's...the kind of stuff we consider not worth our time. I want to present it to him and have him treat it as if was real...wipe it down, store it safely, not a toy, etc. in the hope that he will continue a sane interest and learn to be responsible as the years come. I don't want to spend very much. He will inherit a "real" gun from me when I head on out and I want him to be prepared. Please email me with your offerings and I thank you!

IN fact it will be REAL....Even if it is non-functional it will still be a real gun. These 100 + year old guns are not as cheap as you might think. Most will be around the $100 dollar range in rough shape. I would suggest a starter pistol....it would feel the same as a small revolver and he could wipe it down and even take it out and shoot it ....with you of course.......just my 2 cents.....My grandson is only 2 and I have already bought him several guns......most of them he won't see till he's at least a teenager.
