Like it says: I need a pair of smooth (not checkered) round butt J frame stocks for a project.

Don't have to be pristine: I'm gonna whittle on them.

Still looking. I got a set from Big Lou, but after re-finishing they turned out darker than I wanted. Quite serviceable, but I'm trying to match a re-finish job on the revolver.

What I'm looking for is a pair of those we saw in the 80s that looked like they were made from apple crate wood; i.e., very light, blondish.
