Default Early Chief's Special

Guys,

I'm looking for a nice, early Chief's Special ("Pre-Model 36," early front sight, smaller trigger guard, flat latch preferred), all matching (including stocks), preferably with original box and papers. If you have one or know of one, please let me know. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the response, Richard. I might indeed be interested.

I have a few questions:

1) do you have the original box and papers for the revolver?
2) do all the numbers (including the stock) match?
3) does your revolver have the alloy cylinder/frame?
4) can you send me or post a picture or two?

Thanks VERY much!

JD. The pre-M37 that I mentioned is a 2in. al. frame w/steel cyl. in blue.Serial #45171.It has the "bug" screw locking the upper side plate screw. The bluing on the barrel and cyl. is 99%.The "bluing" on the frame seems to be fading or thinning. No dents or scratches. The original stocks have a marr in the checkering on the right panel. No box or papers.Pics.are a problem as I have not learned how to post them yet. With an address I will send hard copies. Please call.608-574-4363.Thanks Richard.

OK, I'll give you a call once I manage to find some time (which might be a little while as things are nuts at work right now). Hey, I'm not great at posting pictures either, so I understand! I'm going to figure it out one day.... Thanks!
