I am fishing here. I am looking for a large frame, short barreled .45 revolver. I would prefer a New Service in 45 colt that was modified back in the day, but I am flexible. Either Colt or Smith, fixed sights, barrel length 2-3". Not looking for a super rare collector's grade item. Finish isn't that important as I am looking for a shooter. Bore doesn't have to be perfect, but I want enough rifling left so the bullet spins. Accuracy should be acceptable for a short barreled revolver. I would consider a .45 acp if the .45 colt doesn't materialize.

I hope somebody might have one they are interesting in selling, as I would rather pick up one that has already been modified instead of cutting down a longer barreled gun.
