WTB 66-2 Rear Sight Assy

BTT, VM was nice enough to send me one to try out however it was too short, but I now know how long it needs to be...
From the barrel end of the strap to the beginning of the peice that holds the blade in is 62mm
That put me about 5mm too short. The holes lined up, however there was a gap in the channel that runs across the top of the gun.

I believe that the only model 66's where the sight runs all the way to the barrel is the 2 1/2 or 3" ,the 4-6" models all have a gap between the where the sight ends and the barrel rib begins. so you probably have the correct sight already,unless you just want to change it where there is no gap. rear sight S&W model 66
I have a rear sight for the S&W K frame model 66. It came off my 66 during the 70's when I put a blue sight on mine.
Was planning on puting it on Gunbroker. front screw and rear
lock down stud was used when I changed sights. Rear sight adjustment screw in place. This is the stainless steel model. as yet don't know what price to put on it. pics attached. [email protected]

Thanks for the offer! This needs to come from a 2.5" gun. That way the top strap will extend all the way to the barrel. By laying a ruler on the top of the sight, from blade to end of the strap is about 2.75", blade to screw is about 2 1/8".
