WTB Marlin 1897 Cowboy
I'm looking for a Marlin 1897 Cowboy .22LR with 24" octagonal barrel. I would like it to be 95% + condition.
Who has anything to offer?

There are 2 1894 Marlins here in a local pawn shop in Billings Montana but they are .44 Mag instead of 45 colt......post cross-block,great condition and seems like they are priced right. A friend of mine in Idaho had an 1897 that was for sale a while back as well...Will get info. if you would like.

growr,
I would be interested in the 1897, but I am set on the 1894 cowboy in .45 Colt. Thanks for the interest in my search.

I have a 1894 cowboy that I bought new. I put 200 rounds through it. I am asking $650 + shipping.

Update on search
I have located and purchased the 1894 Cowboy from a S&W Forum member, but I'm currently still looking for the 1897 Cowboy. I want to thank all those members who have helped in my search for these 2 Marlins.
The members here have always come through for me on my searchs no matter what brand of firearm. Thanks to all!

1897
I think you're mistaken. I think they never made an 1897 in 24" - only 20".

Patepluma,
The Marlin 1897 .22cal. Cowboy was made with a 24" octagonal barrel. The original 1897 .22cal, which was the precurser of the model 39 and later 39a, also had a 24" octagonal barrel.
Marlin made an 1897 Texan that only had a 20" octagonal barrel. The 1987 Cowboy was only produced for about 3 years or less starting in 1999 I think.
Thanks for your interest.

I found one
The search is over. I won a NIB Marlin 1897 Cowboy off an internet auction last night. For those S&W forum members who helped along the way, thanks.
