WTB/Trade Browning A5 Stock
I need a stock to replace the bondo-job currently on my Browning A5. Wood or synthetic (will need the forend also if it is synthetic) doesn't matter as this is going to be a knock-around gun. I don't know if it matters but this gun is a plain-jane, 2 3/4" chamber, 12 gauge, it doesn't even have the rolled engraving commonly found on the sides of the receiver. Cracked, chipped or dinged wood is ok if the price is right & it is fixable.
Thanks, John

Try MGW...Midwest gunworks..... or Silverhill inc. for semi-inletted repros...

Do you need the round or square ended pistol grip?

The original one I have is round, but if a square pistol grip stock fits & the price is right I'm ok either way. Thanks, John

There are usually some on ebay, depending on what gage you need.

Terry, thanks for the reply, I must have forgotten about my posting since my dad had a stroke right around that time. He is ok now. I did find a serviceable replacement at SARCO - unbelieveably priced at $25 so I jumped on it right away. All it needs is final fitting and removing the excess wood at the grip. It will go in the lineup of projects so now all I need to do is prioritize it & I'm good to go. John

What you need is the RAMLINE replacement stock and forend for an A5. I put these on my A5 years ago when I was running a pack of deer hounds every week. I put the plastic on and the wood up to protect it. Still have the RAMLINE on my A5. Went to current site and cost for both stock and forend is $65.00. Will try to send you a link.

Good Luck......Mike
