Default WTB - Shooter Grade 4in Mdl 29/Mountain Revolver/Mountain Gun

Hello

I am looking to buy a 4in S&W Mdl 29 / Mountain Revolver or Mountain Gun - must be mechanically excellent, finish is unimportant.

I am not looking for a safe queen, but for a revolver that I can shoot the hell out of.

If it is a Mdl 29, I am planning on converting the frame to the round butt configuration, so if your Mdl29 has already been converted (to correct factory specs) that doesn't scare me either.

Please pm me with what you have and your price - I am a serious buyer

I suppose I'm late in reply but from my personal experience I wasn't at all happy with the round butt, I like to spend time shooting my pistols and the round butt does not do a .44 magnum any justice, at least from my perspective. I have large hands and find the need for a full square butt magnum target type stock to truly make the experience satsifactory. I have had pistols with pachmeyer stocks and have promptly removed them with exception to my High Power, all they usually do for me is turn my hands black. I had square butt stocks made for my 629 and they make all the difference in the world, they don't do much for concealability but if I'm packing the .44 it is in a field holster and this is an open carry state.
