Looking for a thumb break right hand canted holster for S&W model 65 4 inch barrel. Finding a good used leather holster for this gun has proven to be very difficult. Considering the number of these revolvers out there I am very surprised how scarce holsters seem to be.
My ideal is an El Paso Saddlery duty holster basket weave but at a lower price.

The holster that you are describing sounds like a Bianchi 5B or 5BL for a lined version. You can occasionally find them in tan, but I’ve seen very few Bianchi products in brown basket weave. Don Hume has a model H727 that is a high-rise with thumb snap, but they only list it in black but it may be found in brown also. I carried a Bianchi 5BL for several years and I am very impressed by the quality of Don Hume products also. They have to be out there on EBay.

Frank, been all over ebay and gun broker, plenty of nylon and black but no brown. I have seen the Bianchi and it's a possibility but I am holding out hope for that duty style brown basket weave and a bargain price too. As long as I am wishing might as well go for it all. Funny thing is I am in NJ and can't carry here but you never know where I will end up one day.
