Default WTB: First revolver - 28-2

I've been on the hunt for months. I've seen two. One had the officer's badge number scratched in to the side and they were asking $700. The second one had serious pitting and they wanted $600.

Really want a 4" model. This will be a shooter. I don't need box/papers/tools.

Someone can help out a new collector who has been bitten by the classic Smith revolver bug.

Thanks all.

ETA: I live in GA. I do travel throughout the southeast.
