I just purchased a model 5903 and discovered(too late) that the "replacement" barrel was not a factory or even aftermarket barrel, but a "simunition" barrel. I tried in vain to return it to the auction house, but they won't take it back. My fault. Anyway, I can't seem to find a factory barrel anywhere. Midway and Brownells carry them, but they are on back order. Nothing on ebay, gunbroker, nowhere. It looks as if this piece has been out of production for 20 years or so, but I am pretty sure that tons of the 59 series pistols were made. Does anybody have any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. I would even be open to selling the piece with the goofy barrel. There is no magazine, but I've seen those. Thanks in advance.
