I realize this is a long shot but here goes.
I started my police career in the 1980's and started with a M64 4", which I purchased when we switched to semi autos. I have an interest in owning a former LEO off duty gun (S&W, 1920's to 1970's), especially one that has been modified to suit the owner. My plan is to keep, use and take care of the gun until I can then pass it on to a young cop who has the same interest...that is, to use and take care of it and eventually pass it on to another young cop with the same interest. I may even stipulate that the price is always $1 to keep this from becoming a way to make a profit. I have no interest in that.
I even have a young guy in mind, a guy that I worked with until I retired three years ago. He loves old guns, old movies, old music and is a pretty talented armorer. He's a guy who never sells guns and would honor such an agreement. He's a young father and husband, vet, and awesome in a fight.
The perfect revolver would be one that has a story to it, so that can also be passed on. Pictures, names and anything else that pertains to the officer and weapon would be icing on the cake.
Please send a PM if you have or know of such a revolver.
Thanks for reading.
