I took my new 325NG to the range yesterday, and a couple of other shooters commented on the sights.

The sight set seemed ideal for a couple of them. They both thought that the front sight lost its "perfect" circle view when the front and rear sights weren't properly aligned.

I noticed the same thing. When I kept the sights aligned and got the "perfect" circle, the shots went exactly where aimed. The rear sight acts as a sort of "peep" sight, with its semi-circular design.

This isn't to state that a better solution for some shooters would be to have three dots, and aligned for the best sight picture. It seems to work for me.

The day I bought the gun, I shot it indoors, in a dim-light situation, and I noticed that the front sight really stood out.

It just seems to me that the design follows the "front sight, front sight, front sight" maxim applies here.
