I agree with Greg. The Leupold Vari-X line is Top Drawer. I use a Leupold Vari-X III 4.5 - 14 x 40 on top of a Browning X-Bolt in 270 Win and have made shots up to 400 yards on whitetail deer. An added plus with the Leupold is their No Questions Asked Lifetime Warranty. Their warranty even applies if you are not the original owner, something VERY few companies offer these days. One thing to keep an eye out for is shown on the Leupold's web page. It seems there have been some counterfit Leupold scopes coming in from PRC.
