I'm impressed with those grips. I don't know I've seen them before. Anyway, I did a little research on them and I wouldn't call them factory "standard", rather factory special order.
The owners manual/parts list I found show them as costing $8.50 while the regular plastic ones were only $2.00. (Parts list dated 6-52)
