That's a real looker in a great barrel length. As to the gun being safety converted.... If it bothers you or your husband enough ~ it can be converted back. Find another old model in rough condition that hasn't had the conversion. Bring both guns to a gunsmith and have him swap the parts. Then sell off the rough condition model. You'll end up with a original configuration in your fine old 3 screw...
Kinda like getting rid of the S&W IL, only better....
