was the officer next to him wearing a 1911 ? looks like it to me.
he joined the force at 40 ? ( died in 52 at age 62, joined in 1930 = 40) seems a bit old to be getting in to the game.

as an aside, does anybody know why the bullet loop duty leather only have 10 loops ? wouldnt 2 full reloads be more practical ?
